JWIT helps Judaic Studies teachers create web-based learning materials that
can be used by Judaic Studies students nationally and internationally.
Based on the highly successful
Web Institute for Teachers, JWIT:
 |
Increases the capacity of its participants to use the
Web as an effective resource and medium for teaching and learning;
|
 |
Creates a national cohort of Judaic Studies teachers
who will work together into the future to improve the capacity of
their schools and programs to integrate technology effectively into
teaching and learning; |
 |
Teaches participants to create and
maintain a webquest related to Judaic Studies |
|
JWIT is sponsored by
the Associated Talmud Torahs ( ATT) of
Chicago’s Morris and Rose Goldman Computer Department for Jewish Studies, the
Lookstein Center for Jewish Education in
the Diaspora at Bar Ilan University in Israel, and the Walder Foundation for
Learning and Development. Additional partners of the program are the Board of
Jewish Education of Greater New York and JESNA (Jewish Education Service of
North America). |
